Even though i said i'd never abandon a blog when i do creat one...it's been months since i last updated. Guess it's the problem with blogs and updates.
Well, after months of drawing here and there, i finally back (updating) as well as learning the basics of my art. So these are recent sketches i did...thought i'd share.

The first two pages are the new designs for some of the characters while the last two pages are rough pages of the comic book. I still have some little modifications to do here and there but i'd stick to most of what you see here.

Waoh, it's been a long time since i last updated the blog. Not that i don't have things to put on it but actually because i had problems with the host where i wanted to store my images.
What ever the case, now that it's solved, i believe i'll be able to publish more stuffs regulary.

This is one of the montage i did about 3 months ago: there're the 5 characters we'd be meeting in book 1 of the wannabes series. Besides from Jiro, who i think would have his outfit modified, the rest would still keep theirs.

Well, as of late, i've been unable to keep the blog up to date. But, hopefully, that will change soon...can't say when exactly.

And also, i'm creating a free space where i can upload images in bigger sizes since i'm having some problems figuring out how blogger works !!!

Well, the samurai project keeps advancing...I'm actually designing the lead characters for the book right now.
The first character i came up with, was Aiko, a young Japanese beauty. And belief me when i say it's really is difficult trying to make a lady look gorgeous in a kimono !!!! But anyway after hours and days of contact sketching, i just had to end up with something. Personally, i think she looks cute... more than I'd imagined her.
West and the mysterious lady were quite a challenge as well. Since the characters were from different nationality, i wanted them to look just like that. So that, anyone can tell not only who is who but also from which continent they're all from just by starring at them.
Concerning Jiro, he was less challenging...can't really give a reason why. But I'm still thinking of working on his looks.

Well, two days after creating the previous logo for the book, i tried some effects on it...just to see what i could come up with. In fact, the present design was actually taken from a logo i did for a friend awhile ago. But guess what, he never used it. So i thought what the heck !!!

First visual : this is one of the graphic designs done for the comic book called "samurai wannabes". And i really like this one cause it just happens to sum up all what i love about the book: free style.

A new year...a new blog...a new comic project in the making...

First and foremost, I've been working on this project for a couple of months now...called samurai wannabes. But I'm still at the research stage. A stage where you make lots, lots and lots of research : character designs, costumes, environments etc

As the project advances, i hope to paste some of my researches and eventually, some pages as well.
